Future Beta Marketing Firm & LanLabs
Founded in 1998 as a traditional Madison Avenue marketing firm, we pivoted early to stay ahead of the digital revolution we saw coming - by engineering the infrastructure ourselves. For nearly three decades, Future Beta has operated in deep-tier systems engineering and aggressive market dominance. We don't just buy ads; we understand the wire, the kernel, and the code.
Digital Marketing Firm with Technical Infrastructure
Shortly after the turn of the millennium, we transitioned into a cutting-edge digital firm by launching a massive 10,000 sq. ft. LAN Gaming Center on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. This state-of-the-art facility housed a gourmet coffee shop, full kitchen, 150 top-of-the-line gaming computers, a dedicated colocation facility, consoles, and - what was believed to be - the world's first private OC-grade carrier connection directly to a privately owned commercial building. This facility launched our entrance into the high-tech space we’ve inhabited for the last 25+ years. Our client roster grew to represent industry titans: America’s Army, Sony, Microsoft, Autobytel, Google, Napster, Intel, AMD, Canon, Nikon, MTV, MCI’s UUNet, Covad, CES (Consumer Electronics Show), and many more.

Technical Infrastructure & a Low-Latency Gaming ISP
We turned our gaming machines and servers into one of the largest privately owned rendering farms in the country, working directly with Cancer Research Centers, Game Developers, Geological Foundations, and Software Developers. This environment birthed our IT enterprise, LanLabs - hosting massive LAN parties with tens of thousands of attendees and securing some of the earliest and largest advertisers in the gaming vertical. Our engineering push yielded custom high-speed kernels (many of which remain industry standards to this day), early social networks like PvPn (The PvP Nation), and our crowning technical achievement: G-Layer / GSL, a low-latency ISP built on MCI’s UUNet backbone that lowered global latency by 9ms through proprietary protocols.

LanLabs & ShopL2
We launched ShopL2, our early-stage eCommerce store with then-revolutionary back-end distributor integration. With over 7k products, we were one of the pioneers of this space, only preceded by legacy brands like SuperBiiz, TigerDirect & CDW.
We know eCommerce, because we lived it from the beginning. Dating back to before organic listings, before Google was mainstream and before people were comfortable with shopping online.

LanLabs Computer Stores
During the early days of eCommerce, shopping online was untrusted. To answer this, we opened our first flagship showroom & computer store in Rockville Centre, later growing into a chain of stores across Long Island & Queens. These stores not only opened cash-flow positive due to the pre-marketing campaigns, but also increased online PC sales and the average ticket price of online sales.
